Students who desire to expand their knowledge of EMS operations and administration should enroll in the Center's Certificate in EMS Leadership Program.

The prehospital healthcare environment is rapidly changing. This series of classes is designed to educate, enlighten and facilitate success for current and future leaders of EMS organizations. Students interact with leaders on the cutting-edge of the EMS community.

Completion of the certificate program requires attendance and participation of all required core classes. Substitution of core classes with optional classes is not permitted.

Individuals inquiring or registering for a course will receive a complete course description upon request. For your convenience, a list of overnight accommodations and other Pittsburgh information will be sent with the confirmation materials.

Tuition

Non-Credit Tuition
$300 per core class or $995(prepaid) 4 core class package
Additional classes at $250 each (with the 4 core class prepaid package)
$750 each multiple person discount when 2 or more persons register from the same organization (each participant must purchase the 4 core class prepaid package)

University Credit Courses
Classes are offered in conjunction with the University of Pittsburgh, Emergency Medicine Program, School of Health and Rehabilitation, and are available as college credits. University of Pittsburgh application and registration is required. Participants not registering the course with the University at the time of taking the course will not be awarded University of Pittsburgh credits at a later date.

Registration
Pre-registration is mandatory. Enrollment for each course is limited; classes are filled in the order in which applications are received. No phone or faxed registrations will be accepted.

Acceptable forms of payment:
The Center for Emergency Medicine can accept Checks, Money Orders, or Credit Cards as forms of payment for classes. The Center is no longer able to accept Cash as a method of payment. Credit Cards Accepted: Mastercard, VISA, American Express, Discover, Diners Club.

Refunds:
Requests for full refunds must be made in writing at least ten working days prior to the course. The course fee will be returned with a 20% deduction for administrative fees. No refunds are issued for cancellations made after the above-mentioned deadline or for failure to attend the course. In the event of course cancellation, participants are notified and a full refund granted.
