PITLS -- Pediatric International Trauma Life Support

Registration form (PDF)

More than 20,000 children in the United States will die this year and more than 30,000 children will become permanently disabled as a result of injuries, according to the National Pediatric Trauma Registry.

Pediatric trauma care is unique in several ways. The PITLS course is designed to train EMTs, paramedics, nurses and other allied health professionals to recognize the anatomical and physiological differences of the pediatric trauma patient as well as understand the special role parents play in managing the patient and providing interventions in a timely manner.

It is recommended that student registering for this course have prior ITLS or PHTLS certification. Please visit the calendar section or contact the Center for course dates.
