Pittsburgh-Japan EM Prehospital Care Program

The Center for Emergency Medicine along with further support from Laerdal Medical Japan KK is proud to announce the Pittsburgh-Japan EM Prehospital Care Program.

During the second week of March, 2005, the first group of faculties from various medical schools around Japan will visited the Center for Emergency Medicine and WISER here in Pittsburgh to collect all relevant information on our prominent programs to enhance medical education.

During the first two weeks of August, 2005, the second group of students from various medical schools, paramedic schools, hospitals all around Japan joined us at the Center for Emergency Medicine. During this time, these students experienced a number of opportunities and classes that focused on emergency and prehospital care. These students took part in lab sessions starting IVs, giving injections and more as well as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS) and Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS).
