The Center for Emergency offers monthly CPR courses as well as group courses when you need them! See below for more information!
Healthcare Provider CPR: This course is intended for medical professionals who require advanced CPR skills. Students will be trained in the skills of CPR for victims of all ages, use of an AED, and obstructed airway management. To determine proficiency with the skills learned in this course, students will be asked to take a written evaluation and demonstrate CPR.

Textbook: BLS for Healthcare Providers Tuition includes instruction and all course materials except for the course book.
The textbook is not part of the tuition. Books are available at the Center for Emergency Medicine for $14. They can also be purchased at the University of Pittsburgh Health Book Center, 3527 Forbes Ave., Pittsburgh, PA (located less than one block away from the Center for Emergency Medicine.)
Upon sucessful completion of the course, students will receive an American Heart Association course completion card.
Group Courses Availability: The Center for Emergency Medicine offers special classes for groups of 6 or more people at both the Center or your facility! Registration: Pre-registration is mandatory. We must recieve your registration at least one week before the intended course date. Enrollment is limited, and classes are filled in the order in which applications are recieved. Phone reservations are not accepted.
Acceptable forms of payment: The Center for Emergency Medicine can accept Checks, Money Orders, or Credit Cards as forms of payment for classes. The Center is no longer able to accept Cash as a method of payment. Credit Cards Accepted: Master Card, VISA, American Express, Discover, Diners Club.
Refunds: Requests for full refunds must be made in writing at least five working days prior to the course. The course fee will be returned with a 20% deduction for administrative fees. No refunds are issued for cancellations made after the above-mensioned deadline or failure to attend the course. In the event for course cancellation, participants are notified and a full refund granted.
The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS and PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association, and any fees charged for such a course do not represent income to the Association.
